Technical and aesthetic are often hard to reconcile, and you have mastered it perfectly. Great job, just a close, I find them all outside, I love the look it gives off. Many make great pictures, but few who reach this level on all their shots, and to me you one of them.
Bravo.
September 28th, 2005 at 6:01
Probably one of the best (if not the plusbeaux) website amateur photo discovered on the web. Your photos are beautiful, high view of the highest quality and has a really personal touch .. Bravo to the artist.

Superb ...
September 29th, 2005 at 6:02
I have had many opportunities to enjoy your images on the D70 forum. Expose yourself gorgeous images here, you really have a talent to discourage the poor who, like me, trying to make nice. And, worse, both for shooting and look on the post-processing, especially in B & W! Sincere and warm congratulations!
Sincerely,
Hunter
September 29th, 2005 at 6:02

I had to walk on these digital albums to play and devour the curious eye. This one stands out in both the content (pictures of a very high level but also tinged with a naivety that hints at the youth of the author) that
how to present them, very nice site for its fluidity and leaves the viewer the mastery of ballade.Je really enjoyed myself! THANK YOU
November 4th, 2005 at 6:06
Photos of the "people" are those that speak to me the most
Good technique anyway!

November 18th, 2005 at 6:11
Absolutely beautiful pictures!
Only minor complaint, I think it would be interesting to EXIF information (focal length, aperture, CO Update used ...) next to each picture.
Indeed for beginners like me it can learn, to know what equipment to use for what type of photos, ...
November 22nd, 2005 at 6:11
Reworked or not, I found these great photos, because the moment is the.
I love the shapes, colors, light ...
The gallery was particularly affected texture because I like these where you closup capture a part of a whole, while reflecting the pattern repeats. In a well-defined entity, it extracts the mystery.
November 25th, 2005 at 6:11
I found your site through the site nikonpassion.com who was referring to.
Bravo for your work that shows a high sensitivity and technique very well controlled.
The photo is the heart and passion, you make a very nice demonstration.

December 20th, 2005 at 6:15
to watch again and again before giving a "critical" final ... but the first glance, the artist hat! beautiful photos in full of records, it does not often you leave your "Lowepro CompuTrekker!"
I quite agree with Charles that "it would be interesting is to have the EXIF information (focal length, aperture, CO Update used ...) next to each picture" ... but I do not know if it can be done with the program you use for your site.
See you certainly hear from me!

Hi Benjamin,
I am one of the friends / colleagues of Virginia and Florence. These are photos of the thesis that led me to your site ...
I just wanted to tell you that your pictures move me much. Not all in the same way, but I am very impressed. I remain truly taped by that of red hair (Virginia?) On a black background, which I think is a sensitivity on the brink of loss of balance, with just fractions of a second and the hair will have slipped on the shoulder ...
Well, I wanted to congratulate you and wish you every success in your projects, your photos are beautiful.
Sincerely,
Sophie
February 28th, 2006 at 6:25
Hello Ben,
Great pictures. The only problem for me is the small side "flashy" of a post-process sometimes lacks subtlety.
But otherwise, you have a real look "graphic".
February 28th, 2006 at 6:26
A big BRAVO for your work

I try to follow your path a little but you're already way ahead.
Or rather, I have fallen far behind
Again congratulations for your photos.
March 1st, 2006 at 6:26
Hello to you, Benjamin,
I do not regret to have met you on the forum "Nikon Lovers", I discovered a talented young photographer, having a real look at the things around us. You treat many topics and with what success! I also appreciated your availability and I hope that one day, when I have time again, we meet to discuss on a forum.
Good luck to you.

Hello benjamin,
Well nice picture with a big favorite for portraits. Small flat on the format of the photos, resize is very poor, probably due to the SIMPLEVIEWER .. it's a shame it would spoil the pleasure of not having more photos
Keep it up.
March 3rd, 2006 at 6:27
I find your site by accident (from forum pixels) and I'm in love with each of your pictures ..
Well done for this research and hard work on the light.

I think your site is very well done, I think I found by browsing the forum hardware. I come here often. The photos are nice and guidance as well. The theoretical part is very well stocked with such a beginner and this research.
The best. and soon on hardware.
July 10th, 2006 at 1:10
Commencen They really have style your tofs, I like the nightlife section, I spent the past year, I stayed a little about my hunger, and then I come back, you're damn evolved, unlike many photographers, there's something in your photos, your framing, your lights, expressions, your style ... and it feels!!
July 10th, 2006 at 5:19
Hi Ben,
As everyone makes you compliments on the pictures (yes, me too, I appreciate your evolution in recent years and your eyes), a small word that you drag your pen has also made lighter and more sure ...
Ah yes, you still owe me a session break at the edge of a pond
July 19th, 2006 at 8:55

hello here
I will not be original but I love it!
the composition of photos, shooting angles and especially their colors. you really own a color style, I think.
what is strong is that it's made with a gear "general public" (without being pejorative) as what it is not the hardware that makes the picture quality but beautiful and well ca mastery. (And control of post-treatment)
and what about the site soprere very intuitive and fluid. everything goes perfectly!
Congratulations and good luck
August 1st, 2006 at 4:13
Hello,
I just spent the last two hours watching your shots. Although I have an identical hardware, I'm so far from your achievements ... It must be that, the talent ...
Above all, we still go ahead and feed your visions ...

Hi Ben ...
By dint of seeing your great shots on my Nikon favorite forum, I ended up going back to your site ...
SUPERB!
What a sight.
I love the image processing bias on the frames.
Hats off ... especially the "people", an area that I do not absolutely control ... and there it makes you want.

October 6th, 2006 at 9:30
I found your photo of the "fire-breathing" on the site of "pixels" and I was flabbergasted by the mastery of subject and treatment of B & B.
The eclecticism in the choice of subjects and the skill with which you treat your photos as during shooting than during the post-treatment point to a good career for you.
Congratulations, keep paufiner your work, you will be rewarded, I am sure.
October 7th, 2006 at 8:54

I think your talent is more sharp for portraits and for the urban landscape. without any time to critique your presentation on these topics! if I'm not mistaken, you have probably feel more comfortable in portrait and macro.
good luck, I'll be back!

it's just coincidence that I fell on your site. Again I am in love and my biggest problem is that I love all the galleries!
I especially like the way you play with color and pattern of light. Much I envy your talent. I do not know how you do it, but your pictures enchant me. Surely I will return often.

Hi Benjamin,
Congratulations on the site!
The quality of the presentation, the image quality (and their display).
And thank you for sharing your experience through tutorials and "discoveries" variety.
I just have a feeling of "confusion" in the navigation between the menu items and it is unfortunate that the "click" on a link does not open it in a new window. Good luck!

January 13th, 2008 at 8:02
Hi, Benjamin,
To see your photos, it is unclear which of the amateur or pro is the author. Bravo humility combined with so much generosity. I really learned a lot of things especially in an "evening, night cloub". Thank you the tutorials.
Otherwise, your photos are superb, the site "top".
Finally, thank you for the slap, if you are "amateur" me, for sure, I'm back man in the world.
January 18th, 2008 at 5:20

See you soon, happy new year full of photos!

Hi Benjamin,
just to tell you that I find your site really nice to visit, full of info, very interesting tutorials section for the amateur, while remaining affordable for beginners, easy navigation ...
Congratulations for your shots and especially for the money that you do so much attention. Many colors and "views" surprising.
How do I know your site by following the link http://www.macandphoto.com/ .
Since then your work has become a reference for me to come take a look regularly.
When will the workshops where they could see you in action.
See you soon I hope,
Patrice
February 5th, 2008 at 11:12
Ah ... so here I am amazed. And jealous. What I thought of biting the style of photo I wish I could do. Scandalous.
My criticism, like my photos, is that of a beginner who has little reference points, but I know what I see! A nice technique of shooting mixed with processing work precisely dosed.
Oh and again a good place for a Swiss who has lived 19 years in Brussels, there's bound to snatch images that recall some of the capital ...
Keep your head still and cold, there's good!

Hi,
I am also self-taught painter for almost 15 years on events, features, portraits ...
I am also still very young in photography (and also for the rest hi hi). Humbly, I must say I'm pretty speechless at what you propose. You are gifted, that's all.
Your framing and the right moment to trigger the emotions are your main assets. I prefer you in color.
Go on, shoo you waltz into my favorites to see the evolution of it.

Hi, I just found your site and your photos! I find the whole terrible and full of talent! I myself am from Belgium and it seems we are more or less the same age. I am also passionate pictures and even though I have the opportunity to train, I do not have your experience. My dream to specialize in photo together! the rub ... missing opportunities to practice! Otherwise, here, I love your site, your photos and you're in my favorite links! See you soon and congratulations again.
December 15th, 2008 at 5:10
Hello Benjamin,
Again thank you for your wonderful pictures. We will have said, Stefaan and me, but it is repeated (as you remember it well): What talent! Furthermore, it is not simply to have good lighting, good camera and the beautiful picture. We must come to seize the moment, people, feelings. For this we must be sensitive and open to others. It should be forgotten. Face people forget, forget facing his art. You are more than a professional, you're an artist and we wish you much success in the photo as in your private life.

hello Benjamin,
I am also an amateur photographer, a student at the school photo of the city of Brussels. I just spent some time on your site, read your course etc ... and I just could not disconnect without putting a note. Frankly, there are some incredible images ... full of captured moments that speak even to those who were not there ... I'm really on my ass when I read that you are self-taught ... oufti, what a great job!
I will definitely be back ...
Only negative in my opinion: too much technical detail, too much explanation editing etc ... it's not me drunk to read them, because every explanation is interesting to qqun makes the picture ... but do not you reveal your too talent? Your photos than sufficient to itself ...
Qqun agrees?
I prefer to see the pictures without knowing how you did ...
It leaves a pleasant thought ...

Hi Benjamin,
Since you are Pro, you forget your fans of the web ... It's been almost 6 months since you have nothing posted and even Twitter is not new.
We are sure you must have a hectic lifestyle and you can not publish your sessions pro, but a small series in which you have the secret would make us all well!
I am sure that this message will be followed by other fans like me who expect a publication.
Thank you and good luck

Hello to you,
What can I say, apart from thank you! Thank you to you for sharing and for sharing with us your experience, your advice, your tips, etc ...
This is really great rewarding, and it's clear and simple.
Your work is really neat and fun to watch.
The example of the wedding photo is really speaking to me as I begin to find myself in a somewhat similar case, that is to say friends of friends who want you cover the event as an official.
What you mention in your journey is breathtaking and is sure to want more than one of us (myself included).
Getting through to become independent and turns his passion .... YES!
But hey, this is not done without much work and investment. Anyway your site is a real nice discovery for me and I intend to regularly see what happens.
So congratulations for your work and your humility.
At the pleasures of reading you soon ..!

What a shame not to have updated since 7 months! Especially since the site was of great quality, and taught me many things, with a heavy dose of pedagogy and superb implemented.
Hope that Benjamin will listen, or at least address the issue: new presentation of its work faster or NSO news ...
In any case, thank you

hello, Benjamin I discovered your site, not bad at all, congratulations!
I am also Nikon, but I not put all my money into the camera and its optics, first light!
A TIP:
I understand that these "pros" of the picture "tinker" with American equipment, Chinese or Korean (reliability as their cars) certainly portable (but rarely never found a 220-volt outlet in the area , except of course in the desert of Kalahari ...) but the second zone (Elinchrom, Hensel-Multiblitz) for reliability
while just out at the lowest price for beginner photographers or students:
TIP:
Broncolor A4 Senso 2400 Joules (Swiss quality-stable color temperature over 6 f-stops)
(Or A2 then Senso 1200 Joules)
3 out torches Litos 2400 W (very compact, broken down for use intense) in asymmetric-symmetric to choose from! Adjustable 6 1 / 2 stops in 1 / 10. Continuously from 26 Joules to 2400 Joules, great. Ok charging a little long, 0.4 to 1.5 seconds, but can be used to power motor with 1 / 4.
Bayonet torch (inimitée still unique in the world of reliability and robustness) Broncolor Universal and all softboxes réflecteurrs Pulsoflex Bron, ringlite, litestick, lightbar, boxlite, Picolite, hazylight, striplites, Para FB Umbrellas, baloon, etc ...
Radio transmitter, wireless, RFS reach 200 m
300 W lamp drivers
In short the dream ... for a pro, from € 1925

For a Launie59.
Even on HFR's death in death ...
We understand that you're just moved on, the web helped you at first, then you were able to get exposure. And now that you are widely known and you have proved yourself, it has very little to bring you. But you can always bring a lot to many people.

You may be able to impose on you one or two articles per month, if not binding, right?
April 23rd, 2011 at 4:24

Hello,
I fell totally by accident on your site, I was looking for tips for pictures of parties, concerts ... I'm only 18, and one year of experience in the field of photography. I wanted to thank you for your tutorials simple and accurate and I traveled many places "professionals" and never find what I wanted: advice experience, a nice photographer could give me a concert or a evening, answering all my questions as a young beginner. Thank you for this great help, I am now looking forward to Saturday to take pictures of a concert I was lucky enough to be boosted in order to be invited to shoot anything that moves, goes on stage and in the public!
Bravo!
