Snaps of graffiti
August 16th, 2007
During nine days, over 30 graffiti artists from Belgium and elsewhere realize a monumental mural of 1500 m²
Once completed, this mural will be the largest in Belgium.
The fresco is located STIB Station WAND OF 1020 Brussels, I went to take a look because I know very little about the graph and because I love seeing artists grow in their element.
I made some images in black and white at first because I like to work more later this theme in depth and color.
I have tried to incorporate more graffiti and less activity in their attempt to show the overall work, the fresco should be completed by August 19 and I will try to repeat a series showing the most comprehensive work in days.
Radius goal, I used the 12/24 home Tokina and the Nikon 50mm 1.4 with a predominance of spot metering.
The B / W was achieved under Lightroom.

Great photos. I see nothing else to add.

Super class!
My only question is why the B & W, then I would have opted for the a priori given the color theme?

It's really good that. You took views very original. I love the 7865, 7867 and 7954. They stand out for me even if others are already very good

Working in color would have been easier and more effectivment "eye candy", the right choice b / ca can put more attention to good framing
, You manage to fill your frames is 12mm, great series!

Interesting ... but I find the super contrasting pictures, personal attacks me it :-/ eyes. It is the contrast of origin or in post processing you have some "pushed" values?
Otherwise, indeed, the frames are original and consistent for pictures with wide angle 12mm

Fred, thank you
pixel, for the reasons I mentioned in my post
Mdkart, thank you for the wide angle opens up new horizons (no pun ...)
Fred B, thank you!
Jean-Romain, the contrast is pretty sweet I think now it will also depend on the screen with which you visualize the images (especially with a TFT screen ca quickly overexposed trend) if we stick to the curves, the images are fairly flat, I almost never white in these images

Just ..., I asked the question because the sentence was ambiguous in the post
So I understand what you did with the preparatory session in mind that this would be the B & W and then you adapted the framing and composition as a function.
That said, this raises the question of digital, which will shoot always in RGB, and the transition to B & W is assimilated to a loss of information (but with a gain of quality, if the photos were taken for this purpose)

Nice photo
Personally I really do not black and white and I think it is not because is in B / W or color she wins or not in quality. Both have their strengths.
There was another such initiative three years ago not to the morning market near the canal.
Besides, I found some friends in your photos I know who was there first.
Anyway nice as taff
And going back to black and white, I find justemmen very nice and original white Noiret for graffiti artists
And your bet seems successful because it puts much emphasis on their work, the atmosphere even during the implementation.
Godd job

I really like and understands the value of B & W in this case. Very good choice in my opinion.
We would love to see the colors of curiosity ...
I like the angles you chose. I like everything, it bothers me so much talent.

I love ... how did you manage your LR in black and white ..? it is rather mixed but just enough ..
