charlotte
I had made a first photo shoot with Charlotte who had some interesting results.
We wanted to retry the experiment to see what it would be for a second session. This time, I did not want to work with a broadcaster, a broadcaster, it takes up space and when we do not have an assistant that takes a lot of autonomy.

The aim was also to play a little with the environment and light. The outside light was very violent giving bright and very large differences favoring cramage. The photos were taken at a station in brussels, the place was practically deserted which allowed us to take pictures without being too bothered.

For the occasion, I worked at AIS nikkor 85 1.4 that I use exclusively is fully open to enjoy its exceptional bokeh.

Objective This pushes me to work in landscape mode, the difficulty of achieving a developed a low speed forces me to work at tripod so I can work over my frame.

The format portraits portraits .... has been made tamron 90 mm, as always for 90% of my photos; spot metering on the face with an exposure compensation of +0.7 always with a look on my histogram to avoid burnt.

For the future I really need to work towards my model, I really used to wait for something to happen, to capture a moment, the photographer here is part of the picture and participates in poses and expression of model.

The photos were captured in dérawatisées one (adding contrast and correcting white balance) and exported for the web (sRGB format)

Finally, the series is far from homogeneous in terms of rendering and moods, this is a short summary of the different atmospheres of these 90 minutes of pictures.

Still a very beautiful series: composition, model expressions, courleurs; you feel your whole atmosphere here. Bravo ...

Question image editing, retouching processes specific to you in the face (spot retouching, smoothing skin, ... if so how). Thank you

    BenB wonderful series.
With a preference for the 1st, the 2nd, 4th and last.
For the 4th just how did you got such a lighting: for the very light background and colorful, well-exposed face and hair glitter? (Additional light source?)

  3. Danigrouik Says:

Nice set, and for once I would have a preference for one in landscape!
I just regret the smile of the model lacks a bit of natural ;)

  4. MickymX Says:

His eyes, his face are simply great photo gene.
The top look for the light and framing and YUM!
My favorites are the first and the last that I find super natural (also natuel this may be). The bokeh of the dockside is not just bad for the bouquet ;)

Arno: here no special retouching images come catch one with a little contrast and adjusting the white balance.

zeb: no aditional source, or Postprod, I have just a little shot in the station to find a place that gave me satisfaction in terms of light.

Danigrouik: I quite agree, and my "qualities" of leadership of the model are relevant to work ... :)

    MickymX: Thank you!

    Benjamin,

why you are using one as Dérawtiser Capture?
how does it behaves compared to other logiciles (Capture Nx, lightroom, etc ...)
    thank you

  7. Benjamin Says:

Capture One is for me the most efficient in terms of time, quality and workflow. NX is over in terms of picture quality but its slowness is infuriating. Basically it's what I expect of a soft derawatisage, white balance, contrast, saturation, and exports in 16-bit tiff.

For more specific corrections, I edit my TIFF in Photoshop

I discovered the site a few days ago, very nice.

Beautiful series that it anyway, but as Danigrouik said, the smile lacks a little natural. May be necessary to talk a little more and make them laugh, right? Finally ... easy to say but I know nothing :)

For my part, I use DxO professionally, but the photos are only working basis for my job (architectural images) ... Have you tried? What you think? I find it a bit stiff but I know little about Capture NX ...

Otherwise good job and good luck!
