Air! , Pola and saturation
April 9th, 2007
Some photos taken in a beautiful blue sky, like the previous series I was looking for a denser up my sky, this time I was back to the sun so the task was much easier, no flash, just sunlight to illuminate the subject and a polarizing filter screwed up to get this very deep blue.
The shots were done in cons-angle to 18mm to give more height to the jumps, the speed is 1/350 to an opening of 3.5 (the polarization tends to "eat" a lot of light) and as of I usually am with a correction of an f-stop for my exhibition, the d200 up on safety in setting permanently.
This kind of picture makes me really want to invest in a real wide angle, I'm torn between the fish-eye home Tokina wide angle and a "classical" type 10/20 knowing that if I head for the fisheye I risk of falling into caricature images typed fish.
The images were developed in Capture One, with just an addition of contrast, the polarizing filter does its job with downstream for my sky and my grass!
Capture a small part of the contact sheet in Capture One:

Ooooh the sky!
Benjamin is in Brussels this box?
Otherwise what you use polarized filter?
In any case, your set is excellent

A bit out of Brussels has around 15 k, for the pola is a "beast" pola Cokin, I would invest in a polarized with my true wide angle
thank you!

I have a polarity and a blue sky! Verily I love this series though, it's fresh and alive bravo!

It's fresh, it makes you want to move! For all lovers of landscape photography: the polarity is MANDATORY! We can not say enough ...
If not for your history of wide angle, I think it's much more interesting to take a super wide angle (type sigma 10-20) a fisheye. The GA gives a great perspective impressive without going overboard at all curved fisheye.
The fisheye is often very difficult to read a frame and an impresion of seen and reviewed. Whereas GA super, the outlook is confusing: the sky and gigantic elements in the foreground huge. AND all that remains perfectly legible.
For me there is no picture it is a great GA you should take. I can already picture of the urban atmosphere with your treatment so special.

this series is wonderful, a dream of flying ... and I like more than that

Ha yeah well it shakes (as usual superb) ... which I hesitated for polarity. I think I'm convinced. For the GA, a pity that the small sensors bring their super coef 1.6 for me.
For photos: why so few compared to the contact sheet?

Are your really loud claps pola!
It surprises me that AC is doing with a mischievous beast ...
I put mine and I withdraw it live because instead of embellishing the image, makes the most ca ugly!
